Rhythm Hunters blend sounds from Indonesia, Japan, Africa and modern day Australia to provide cutting edge physical percussion, didgeridoo, Western horns, Asian flute, deep grooves and ethereal soundscapes that mesmerize and captivate.

Of Acehenese heritage, group leader Rendra Freestone has developed Taiko drumming alongside the shamanic Sufi-like traditions of Indonesia into a show that has been wowing audiences nationwide.

Rhythm Hunters has, power, pizzaz, funk, innovation and hard old school discipline which is being delicately channeled into their irresistible sound and Sweet Indo-Pacific Grooves.

Festivals

Rhythm Hunters have performed at a variety of Music Festivals, Council Events, Ceremonies and Multicultural Days and inquiries can be made regarding bookings.

Parties & Weddings

We bring in lots of drums and facilitate a drum circle experience for Kids Parties, Hens Nights, Bucks Parties, 18th, 21st and 50th birthdays and you can even walk down the aisle to the sound of Japanese Festival Drums or have the whole crowd cheer you on with drums in hand!

Corporate Performance & Team- Building

High Impact Taiko Drum Performances for Product Launches, Art Exhibitions, Awards Ceremonies and End of Financial Year Events, or bring your team together with drums and share one of the most positive and enriching experiences a group can have. (for groups of 10 – 200 participants).

School Incursions & Private Tuition

We perform in schools all over the country offering interactive performances and specialist workshops that are educational, interesting and fun! We also offer Classes, Drum Repair Services and The Rhythm Hunters Drum Shop through The Rhythm Hut at Faunce Street, Gosford.
